Owl Hawks Baseball is a character-first youth baseball organization built on the belief that player development and winning are not competing priorities — one creates the other.
We build players. Every decision we make — from how we coach, to how we structure practice, to who we bring into the program — is measured against one question: does this make the player better?
We exist to develop elite players by treating character development as non-negotiable. The 14:24 Standard applies to every player, every practice, every day.
Player development should always come before winning — and winning naturally follows great development. We build players who compete with confidence and intelligence.
From free community camps to AAA/Majors-level club competition — every player has a path inside Owl Hawks Baseball regardless of where they start.
Our coaches bring professional playing experience, decades of instruction, and a shared commitment to developing players who are ready for whatever comes next.
Coach Mario Segura brings more than 30 years of baseball experience to Owl Hawks Baseball as both a player and coach. A former professional draft selection by the San Francisco Giants organization, Mario combines high-level playing experience with a passion for developing young athletes.
As Director of Player Development, Mario oversees the instructional philosophy that drives the Owl Hawks program. He works closely with coaches across every age group to ensure players build sound fundamentals while developing the advanced skills needed to compete at higher levels of baseball.
As Head Coach of our 13U team, Mario emphasizes disciplined baseball, attention to detail, and a growth mindset. His instruction focuses on creating fundamentally sound players who understand the game, compete with confidence, and continue improving every season.
Coach Mario believes that great players are developed through consistent instruction, purposeful practice, and a genuine love for the game.
